And looking forward to that, do feel free to tell me what kind of things YOU would like to see stocked in Embrace in the run up to Christmas this year (or even for next season). I’d love to hear your thoughts. Maybe there is something you would like to see more of, maybe you want more lower price point items, children’s gifts, gifts for new babies or something for men?? Whatever it is, I would like to hear from you - so please get in touch using the form at the foot of the Embrace website page (just click on the 'return to site' link above) or drop me a message via Facebook at www.facebook.com/embracegifts
Meanwhile, looking back it has been a bit of a challenging second season for Embrace. I guess it’s sort of understandable with continued recession, Brexit, the oil industry collapse, but I think it is mainly due to the fact that the visitor footfall to Strathpeffer in general is still very low for lots of other reasons. Arguably the two main ones are that Strathpeffer was not included in the North Coast 500 route (which has increased the numbers of visitors elsewhere significantly) and also within the village there are continuing signage issues that mean that many visitors miss the old railway station altogether! That said, I have a lovely set of loyal customers from near and far who always shop at Embrace, and return time and time again, and I am so appreciative of them.
Later this year I will definitely be organising a mulled wine/Christmas shop evening, and will post details nearer the time. Last Christmas I sold all my cashmere wrist warmers and porcelain tea light holders, and I will definitely be ordering more of them! I will let you know what other lovely things I find at the Autumn Fair, until then thanks to everyone who has shopped here at Embrace since it opened, and I look forward to seeing you all again soon.
